Travel Risk

All forms of travelling come with a certain degree of risk, especially international travel. Although many of us may be excited to board a plane for the next holiday, COVID-19 risk remains high in many countries around the world, including Malaysia. The CDC has developed a 4-level Travel Health Notice (TNH) to alert travellers on the COVID-19 situation of countries around the world.

Countries with a Level 4 rating are considered very high risk and travellers should avoid visiting these countries. Malaysia falls under the Level 4 category, along with countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. If travel is necessary, travellers are advised to be fully vaccinated for at least 14 days before their journey. For the full list of countries and their COVID-19 risk level, click here.

Malaysians Staying Safe

Contracting the COVID-19 virus during your international travels is far from an ideal holiday. Many countries are in a different phase of living with the COVID-19 virus and the lax regulations may be unusual for Malaysians. If you remain hesitant about travelling overseas, there are many beautiful locations to visit on these shores. Remember to continue social distancing, practice good hygiene and remain vigilant against COVID-19.
